Cross County Robotics Tournament Results

The Cross County Robotics Tournament held a 60 team tournament on November 21st.  This is the first of the large tournaments this season.  It was split into two divisions, with the each Division Champion competing for the overall Tournament champions for qualifying spots at the VRC Heartland Regional Robotics Championship.

This tournament qualified four teams for the Heartland Regional Robotics Championship, the Excellence Award winner and the three Tournament Champion teams. The Excellence award was awarded to team 8675 (Fuzzy Wuzzy 2.0) from National Robotics Academy. The Tournament Champions were 6685A (Vexecutioners) & 6685R (Vexorsism) from Millard South High School and 5155C (Oops…We’re a Team) from Cross County Robotics.

Cross County Robotics Tournament Awards

Excellence Award

8675 (Fuzzy Wuzzy 2.0) from National Robotics Academy were awarded the Excellence Award. This is awarded to a team that exemplifies overall excellence in building a well rounded VEX robotics program. This award also qualifies the team for the Heartland Regional Robotics Championship & CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Championship

Tournament Champions

Cross County Robotics Tournament Champions were 6685A (Vexecutioners) & 6685R (Vexorsism) from Millard South High School and 5155C (Oops…We’re a Team) from Cross County Robotics. The Tournament Champions are the three team Alliance that wins the Elimination Rounds of the tournament. This award also qualifies the team for the Heartland Regional Robotics Championship & CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Championship

Tournament Finalist

Cross County Robotics Tournament Finalists were 7862F (Backwards Shirts) from Hesston High School, 5813A (The Kanesville Krush) from Abraham Lincoln High School, and 5155F (Double A) from Cross County Robotics. The Tournament Finalist are the three team Alliance that ends second in the Elimination Rounds of the tournament.

Programming Skills Winner

6685A (Vexecutioners) from Millard South High School recorded the top Programming Skills score at 220 points.  A personal best for their team, this is currently the 8th Highest programming skills score in the world.  This award also qualifies the team for the CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Championship

Robot Skills Winner

6685R (Vexorsism) from Millard South High School recorded the top Robot Skills score at 230 points in the Cross County Tournament. This team was already ranked 6th in the world with a prior score of 262 from the Mary Our Queen Skills Challenge the prior week.

Design Award

1028A (C:\DOS\RUN) from Brownell-Talbot were awarded the Design Award. This is awarded to a team that demonstrates an organized and professional approach to the design process, project and time management and team organization.

Sportsmanship Award

8019J (Techno Jocks) from Lakeview High School were awarded the Sportsmanship Award. This is awarded to a team that has earned the respect and admiration of the volunteers and other teams at the event. The Tournament uses ballots for this award.
