The Elkhorn HS VEX Robotics Tournament hosted their first VEX Robotics tournament. A great tournament, with some new schools qualifying for the Heartland Regional Robotics Championship.
This Saturday was a big day for VEX Robotics, with nearly 150 teams competing in the Omaha Metro area across three tournaments. With the sharp increase in VEX Robotics teams across Nebraska and Iowa, Elkhorn HS provided a much needed opportunity for teams to get a chance to play and qualify.
This tournament qualified four teams for the Heartland Regional Robotics Championship, the Excellence Award winner and the three Tournament Champion teams. The Excellence award was awarded to team 2501J (Full Metal Jackets) from Thomas Jefferson HS. The Tournament Champions were 2501B (Optimus Dime) & 2501C (Point Blank Jackets) from Thomas Jefferson HS, and 5053A (Pioneer 1) from Fort Calhoun HS.
