Millard South High School hosted their High School Vex Robotics tournament this weekend. This tournament qualified three teams for the Heartland Regional Robotics Championship, with the three Tournament Champion teams earning that qualification. The Tournament Champions were 5813B (The Kanesville Krush) from Abraham Lincoln HS, 1028B (SV_Wall_Hacks) from Brownell-Talbot, and 5813A (Black Squirrels) from Abraham Lincoln HS. There were no judged awards at this tournament.

Tournament Champions
Millard South VEX Robotics Tournament Champions were 5813B (The Kanesville Krush) from Abraham Lincoln HS, 1028B (SV_Wall_Hacks) from Brownell-Talbot, and 5813A (Black Squirrels) from Abraham Lincoln HS. The Tournament Champions are the three team Alliance that wins the Elimination Rounds of the tournament. This award also qualifies the team for the Heartland Regional Robotics Championship & CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Championship
Tournament Finalist
Millard South VEX Robotics Tournament Finalists were 1028S (Mandroids: Sarkeesibot) from Brownell-Talbot, 5069B (DERP.exe) from Millard North HS, and 1028J (Murphy’s Law) from Brownell-Talbot. The Tournament Finalist are the three team Alliance that ends second in the Elimination Rounds of the tournament.
Programming Skills Winner
1028S (Mandroids: Sarkeesibot) from Brownell-Talbot recorded the top Programming Skills score at 233 points. This award also qualifies the team for the CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Championship
Robot Skills Winner
1028A (C:\DOS\RUN) from Brownell-Talbot recorded the top Robot Skills score at 307 points.

Qualification Round Results
The tournament starts with Qualification Rounds, which are used to determine how you rank during the tournament. This rank is used during alliance selection, where 3 teams are paired off with each other. Each alliance competes in the Elimination rounds, which determines the Tournament Champions and Finalists. The Tournament Champions qualify for the Heartland Regional Robotics Championship.

Elimination Rounds
The Elimination Rounds are used to determine the Tournament Champions. During the Elimination Rounds, Alliances of three different teams are formed. Each leg of the Bracket is a best of three, with each team in the alliance getting the opportunity to compete.
